Railway Station to Royal Fort | A Peaceful Day Trip to Qila Sheikhupura | 112DN Badar Express

Hi Everyone, Today’s vlog is short, simple, and close to the heart.
I traveled from Lahore to Qila Sheikhupura on 112DN Badar Express, not just to explore a railway station, but also to revisit the historic fort that gave Sheikhupura its name.
The day began in a slightly chaotic way. Heavy traffic on Lahore’s Canal Road made us reach Lahore Junction just in time. As I switched on the camera, the train started moving and I had to run to catch it, a moment that truly felt like classic railway travel.
On this journey, I was joined by Zahid Soomro sahab from Dunya Hazar Rang and another fellow railfan, making the ride even more enjoyable. The morning started clear in Lahore, but as we crossed the Ravi River, fog slowly took over. By the time we reached Missan Kalar and Qila Sattar Shah, the fog had become thick and atmospheric, adding a beautiful winter charm to the journey.
We soon arrived at Qila Sheikhupura Junction. With plenty of time before the next train movement, we hopped onto a chingchi rickshaw and headed towards the historic Qila Sheikhupura fort. Although the fort was closed for renovation, exploring it from outside still felt special and deeply connected to history.
Before Friday prayers, we enjoyed a delicious lunch of steam chicken chargha, simple food that somehow tastes better during travel days. After Jumma prayers, we witnessed a slow and graceful pass of 41UP Karakoram Express through the loop line, followed later by Ravi Express, a true stoppage train.
We spent nearly seven hours in Qila Sheikhupura for history, food, atmosphere, and just two train actions. It was not a fast or crowded vlog, but a calm and meaningful one.
