Demonic Sweaters (Feat. And Uge) "Moon Teleporter" Lyric Video

This is the first Vocaloid song I have made in nearly 10 years. I got a new voicebank "Uge" https://vocaloid.fandom.com/wiki/And_Uge and the Vocaloid 6 Lite Editor, but I'll definitely be upgrading to the full version in a few weeks. This song and video have been a real learning process and I had a lot of fun making them! The song I wanted to do something that sounded different than my typical sound and tried playing with different types of chords I normally use and took inspiration from 80s Japanese City Pop as well as 80s 'Jazz Wave' like Joe Jackson. I wanted to make a more upbeat song so I set the tempo to 161bpm. The song was done in Ableton Live using UVI Workstation with various vintage synth banks as well as several Ableton stock instruments. I created the song around a simple drum loop then recorded live drums to the track after it was completed. I'm still getting the hang of 'tuning' Vocaloid, but am happy with the result here. And Uge can sound far more realistic, but I was going for a more robotic and bit crushed sound. I also was a bit inspired by some Charli XCX vocal fx and attempted to achieve some of that sound in Vocaloid.
The lyrics are based on an insane dream I had many years ago, but it always stuck with me that was about scientists on the moon who built a teleportation device that went horribly wrong. There is far more to this story that I will reveal in future work. The video was made in Kdenlive. I used a stock image of And Uge from her Twitter Page, the background and overlays I drew in Asesprite. I'm not a great pixel artist, but they worked good enough I think haha.
