Tokushima is known as the first destination on the Shikoku Pilgrimage,
making it a fascinating gateway into the history and spirituality of Shikoku.
One thing I’ve always wanted to experience is Shikoku’s unique “Osettai” culture—
a tradition where locals offer help or small gifts to pilgrims with no expectation in return.
It’s one of the warmest and most beautiful customs in Japan.
Traveling around Shikoku is easier with a car,
but even without one, there is so much to enjoy—
the landscapes, the food, the history, and the kindness of the people.
I hope this video inspires you to visit Tokushima and Shikoku someday.
It’s truly a special place worth exploring. 🌿
