It's not often that you get a rejected takeoff as well as a missed approach go-around within the space of a few minutes of each other. That's what happened yesterday at Farnborough where departing Pilatus PC-24 LX-AND, heading for Barcelona, stopped the takeoff run a few seconds after opening up the thrust levers - evidently there was a configuration warning light that had come on, which the crew were quickly able to resolve.
Not long after this, the wind had picked up some more, despite the clear sunny conditions - gusting from 020 to 080 degrees at anything up to 18 knots. Landing 1 year old T7-TURTL (Embraer Praetor 500) arriving from Red Sea Project, Saudi Arabia, appears to "float" over the runway for quite some distance before the crew opt to elect to Go-around; climbing out on runway heading to 2,000 feet. 10 minutes or so later they make a successful landing. You can see both approaches and landings separately and then together in my film, to compare the difference in height compared with the background buildings. Hope you enjoy this more unusual sequence of events!
