Sandy Cheeks is an anthropomorphic brown squirrel from Texas, a thrill seeker who loves extreme sports like karate and bodybuilding. She works as a scientist and builds her treedome, an air suit and a helmet herself. She is one of the main characters in the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise, debuting in the 1999 animated TV show "SpongeBob SquarePants" and the following series and movies.

She plays a role of SpongeBob's and others' best friend, with whom she goes through various life situations, both fun and serious, and also helps to deal with and combat any problems or villains arising on their path, like Plankton.
