10 Baritones sing above and beyond the High G4!

Here we hear a handful of great Operatic Baritones sing above the highest note typically required in the repertoire, G4, reaching Ab4, A4 and higher where even some tenors struggle!

Cornell MacNeil, Ettore Bastianini, Piero Cappuccilli, Nicolae Herlea, Leonard Warren, Apollo Granforte, Robert Merrill, Titta Ruffo and, Tito Gobbi, and may Sherrill Milnes live on long.

I would’ve included Bastianini’s rendition of the finale to Rigoletto, but the highest quality recording I found, (Bastianini and Scotto, conducted by Gavazzeni, in studio, 1960), seemed to have been transposed up ever so slightly, making it seem like Bastianini had sung A4 - Bb4 - A4 instead of the original Ab4 - A4 - Ab4. I was unable to transpose it back town thus, I unfortunately couldn’t include it in this video.
