🎃HIKING To Downed BOMBERS & the Mystery's of Loon Lake

Backpacking the Loon Lake Loop near McCall Idaho. On this adventure we're following the Secesh River to Loon Lake, a stunning mountain lake in the Payette National Forest near McCall Idaho. Loon Lake is worth the trip with its beautiful hike and stunning view, but for an added bonus Loon Lake holds the skeleton of old WWII Dragon Bomber, taken down by a snowstorm in 1943. If you're able to cross the marshy bank of Loon, you can explore the bomber yourself. Going in the fall season we had the lake to ourself, giving the crash site an eerie, ghostly feeling. The perfect hike for the Halloween season!
