HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS TRAINING (H.E.A.T.) AND SELF-DEFENCE SESSION CONDUCTED BY SSU COMMANDOS AT ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOL AND COLLEGE COD KARACHI

A one-day Hostile Environment Awareness Training (H.E.A.T.) and self-defence session was successfully conducted by the Special Security Unit (SSU) Commandos at the Army Public School and College COD Karachi. The event aimed to empower students with essential self-protection and situational awareness skills to navigate potential threats in hostile environments.

As part of the training, SSU Commandos demonstrated a mock terrorist encounter, showcasing real-time tactical responses and intervention strategies. Students were also introduced to practical martial arts and self-defence techniques, allowing them to actively participate and enhance their personal safety competencies.

Commandant SSU Aamir Niazi attended the session as the chief guest. In his keynote address, he stated that the Special Security Unit (SSU) is a state-of-the-art institute established to provide security to the citizens. He highlighted that the purpose of this session was to make students aware of techniques to deal with situations like the Peshawar APS attack, emphasizing that such preparedness can save lives during hostile incidents. He further added that this type of training is the need of the hour, as the menace of terrorism continues to grow day by day.

The session was made possible through the efforts of Principal Mrs. Sarwat Javed and the administration of Army Public School and College COD Karachi, who coordinated closely with SSU officials to ensure the successful execution of the event.

At the conclusion of the event, commemorative shields were presented by the Principal Mrs. Sarwat Javed to the guests.
