In this video, I melt aluminum that my friend brought to me and turn it into ingots.
This channel is about metal melting, aluminum melting, copper melting, and recycling scrap metal into clean ingots.
⏱ Timeline of the video:
00:07 – I start preparing everything for the melting process
01:27 – The furnace is turned on
My venturi burner needed adjustment, so preparation continues
03:10 – Preparation is finished
Aluminum cans, aluminum wire, and aluminum pipes are added into the furnace
05:00 – I open a bag full of aluminum scraps
08:20 – I start removing slag
09:04 – I heat the mold
09:35 – The furnace lid is opened
10:08 – Molten aluminum is poured into the mold
14:53 – Some slag is stuck at the bottom of the crucible
16:56 – I turn the furnace on again
I add aluminum rotors and an aluminum alternator to separate aluminum from iron
25:47 – I remove slag again
27:25 – I pour the molten aluminum into the mold
While removing the ingot, it breaks into two pieces
29:04 – I start cleaning the crucible; it looks like dust or residue had built up
30:48 – Crucible cleaning is finished
In total, I cast 5 aluminum ingots
31:13 – I inspect the rotors and alternators from the furnace
32:35 – I check the slag to save any remaining aluminum for later
33:36 – I weigh the aluminum ingots
I really enjoy melting aluminum and copper, recycling scrap metal, and turning it into usable ingots.
Follow the channel to see more metal melting, aluminum casting, copper casting, and future projects together.
