In this video, I’m working with a very special and rare piece of wood from my local area: the Mastic Tree (Pistacia lentiscus var. Chia). Known worldwide for its aromatic resin, the wood itself is a hidden gem for woodturners, featuring incredible grain patterns and deep, warm colors.
I decided to keep the natural, "wild" edge to highlight the raw beauty of this local species. The process was challenging due to the irregular shape, but the final result is a unique rustic bowl that showcases the character of the Mediterranean landscape.
