This prestigious milestone marks a new chapter in the collaboration between the Bank of Ghana and the University of Ghana, reinforcing shared commitment to advancing research, education, and policy development in the fields of economics and finance.
The inaugural lecture, titled "From Cowries to Crypto: The Long Arc of Monetary Policy in Africa," will be delivered by the distinguished Chair Professor Yegandi Imhotep Paul Alagidede and promises to provide insightful reflections and rigorous analysis on the evolution of monetary systems and policy frameworks across Africa, from traditional mediums of exchange to the rapidly expanding landscape of digital currencies and the future evolution of money.
