Another Emerald Weapon solo in Final Fantasy VII (Vincent / No cheese)

Build at the beginning of the video. Within reason, I tried to avoid using items for this, as well as anything commonly considered cheese. Hero Drinks are debatably pretty cheesy, but I didn't do the Death Penalty overflow, Knights of the Round, or... other party members.

My strategy was definitely a bit dubious. I more or less had to adapt it as I went, since I was kind of recording as I plotted this out. I just happened to get it mostly figured out on the attempt that I beat the guy. That's why you see me insist on Big Guard early on only to stop using it as much later. Sad thing is, I could've cut the Elixirs out had I figured this out sooner, but oh well.

The biggest thing is the time limit. No, I don't mean the drowning timer (though that is absolutely a problem as well), I meant Vincent's limit meter. In case you don't know, his limit breaks kind of suck. They're actually pretty rock-solid for the main game (as long as you don't use an elemental one against enemies that absorb said element), but the fact that you can't control them means they're terrible for long-term engagements like this. Since Deathblow + Added Cut essentially does half the damage of 4x Cut (while adding 2222 to the damage of Aire Tam Storm), it was a race to deal as much damage as I could with that before having to resort to Deathblow. Which is incidentally why you see me using the Long Barrel R, of all weapons. 255% accuracy means that Deathblow's halved hit rate is still above 100%.

Overall, pretty fun! Anyone who enjoys this game would probably enjoy doing something like this. Just... maybe not with Vincent, lol.
