Axiom Space will launch its fourth crew of astronauts to the International Space Station on a mission dubbed Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4). Liftoff of the SpaceX Falcon 9 from Launch Complex 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida is scheduled for no earlier than 2:31 a.m. EDT (0631 UTC) on Wednesday, June 25.
Aboard the Ax-4 mission are Mission Commander Peggy Whitson; Pilot Shubhanshu Shukla, a Gaganyaan astronaut from the Indian Space Research Organisation; Mission Specialist Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski, a member of the European Space Agency's (ESA) Astronaut Reserve Class of 2022; and Mission Specialist Tibor Kapu, an astronaut from Hungary's Hungarian to Orbit (HUNOR) Astronaut Program.
Learn about the Ax-4 crew as they embark on their planned 14-day mission, during which they will conduct around 60 scientific studies and activities representing 31 countries. There will also be multiple outreach events to people in India, Poland and Hungary.
