Low Overspray | Airless Paint Spraying with Titan TR1 / Wagner HEA Tips

How to stop paint overspray by airless paint spraying at low pressure. Using Wagner HEA ProTip / Titan TR1 HEA airless spray tips, this project will demonstrate how to mask then spray a ceiling. This is a kitchen ceiling where the walls are fully tiled, this will be the same principle if wanting to mask and spray a fully tiled bathroom. You’ll see how to mix a mist coat, then spray at 800 psi, afterwards the top coats are sprayed at 1400 psi. Using Wagner HEA ProTip (High Efficiency Airless), spraying at low pressure, you get less overspray, less bounce back, all equalling less material waste. Plus less tip wear and wear of the piston..

The pump used is the Graco 395 airless paint sprayer and the Graco Contractor PC Compact gun. You’ll need the Wagner TradeTip 3 Tip Holder 7/8” to fit the Graco gun and be able to take the Wagner HEA ProTip.. Not to be confused with the Wagner Control Pro / Titan ControlMax Spray guard, that is only for the Wagner Control Pro / Titan ControlMax tips.. Can be confusing I know, you’re more than welcome to comment if you have any questions or you would like me to clarify anything. Also, Wagner / Titan tips will not fit the Graco RAC X guard. However, Wagner / Titan spray tips will fit the TriTech T93R Guard, and vice versa, but be aware the tip seals are different, so it’s worth having the right guard.. Again, please comment if you would like me to clarify anything 👍

For the airless spraying..

For spraying the ceiling, mist coat and top coat..

Mist coat 800 psi
