#61 The Roof Is Done and Scaffolding is Gone

This week, we officially finished the roof — the scaffolding is gone, the downpipes are installed, and the result is stunning. The workers also completed the last bit of plastering around the two doors and the window facing the street.

Meanwhile, I began preparing to work on the large raw stone wall in the big stable. I also planted some trees, pruned a cherry tree, and tied down its branches for easier access to the cherries in the future.

We've also started restoring the lean-to roof in the courtyard, sanding it down and giving it a fresh coat of paint.

A big thank you to Lorenzo, Danny, Giuseppe, Francesco, Maurizio, Abdul, Sam, and Ricardo from R.ED.’s Construction Company. We are incredibly happy with the result and deeply impressed by the craftsmanship.
