Strawberries & Cream Dessert

Do you need a quick and easy summer dessert to feed a crowd? If so, this is the recipe for you! This delicious strawberries and cream dessert requires a minimum of common ingredients and is easy to make. This cool and refreshing dessert is certainly a crowd pleaser, that will have everyone asking for the recipe! Enjoy!

Strawberries and Cream Dessert

Ingredients:
17.5 ounce package of sugar cookie mix
½ Cup of butter
1 egg
2 Blocks of Cream Cheese (8oz each) softened
2/3 cup powdered sugar
2 Tbsp. heavy cream
1 tsp. pure vanilla
8 ounce container of whipped topping
1 quart sliced strawberries
Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
For the crust: mix cookie mix, egg and butter to form a soft dough. Press dough into greased baking dish. Bake until slightly brown on top (20-25 minutes). Be careful not to over bake. When slightly brown, remove from oven and cool for at least 30 minutes.
For the Filling: mix softened cream cheese, sugar, cream and vanilla until smooth. Gently fold in whipped topping. Spread over cooled cookie crust. Top with quart of sliced strawberries.
