"Nuke the Whales" was a (mostly) original piece with nods (and apologies) to our influences of the day: Zeppelin, Skynyrd, Rush, Max Webster, et al. Ambitious, a tad indulgent, and a little too long, Nuke the Whales was the result of burgeoning young musicians, a basement full of gear and lofty rock dreams. Solos by Big Al and Chris are as good now as they were then.
A tip of the hat to the crew of Simonds High Theatre who recorded this - in decent stereo - to 1/4" tape, later converted to digital, slightly EQ'd and with some noise reduction applied.
