Classroom Walkthroughs: What, Why, How. Classroom observation.

Classroom walkthrough is a brief, structured, informal and non-evaluative classroom observation by the Principal or a leader followed by a conversation between principal and the teacher about what was observed.
The soul aim is to observe the teaching learning process in a classroom. Classroom walkthroughs give leaders a strong sense of current instructional practices that becomes a qualitative data on the strengths and needs of the students and plan improvement efforts accordingly.
Without real purpose any walk through are like a dog and pony show and one will not be able to gather authentic learning data. The purpose behind any walkthrough is to help teachers with classroom management and inform improvement efforts through training. The need of walkthrough is to look at how well teachers are implementing a particular program or set of practices that school has adopt.
