How to join StarApple device to your Wifi

This video will show you how to connect your StarApple smart light dimmer to your wifi.

Steps to connect StarApple device to your wifi.

1. Install and Power up your StarApple device.

2. Wait for a couple of minutes to boot up the device.

3. If this is your first time to join this device to your wifi, the device will create its own wifi or called Access Point.

4. If you look at the available wifi in the network settings, the StarApple device wifi name or SSID will look like STARAPPLE_XXXXXX.

5. Join the STARAPPLE_XXXXX wifi. For first time only the password is StarApple123.

6. Wait until the check mark shows up on the left. It will say weak security. But it will not matter since we are using this for this time only. After that the device’s wifi Access Point will be deactivated. Even if you power down the device, it will automatically join your wifi. Unless if you change the password of your wifi and you need to do it again.

7. After the check mark shows up, go to your StarApple App and press Add in the upper left corner of the Home page.

8. Input the name of your Wifi.

9. Input the password of your Wifi.

10. Input any name you wish for your StarApple device. Make sure there are no duplicate names.

11. Tap Submit button.

12. If successful, you will see a pop up window saying Device Connected.

13. Your IPhone will connect automatically to your Internet Wifi because the Access Point of the StarApple device will be deactivated permanently. Confirm that you are connected back to your Internet Wifi.

14. Go back to StarApple App Home page. Press Update on the upper right corner of the App. You may have to press couple of times depending on your network traffic.

15. When you see the name of the StarApple device you just added, then you are done.

16. Use the App by controlling the dimmer light.
