チリのパタゴニア地方にあるパタゴニア国立公園。この国立公園は、ザ・ノース・フェイスの設立者であるダグラス・トンプキンズと元パタゴニアCEOで妻のクリスティンの功績によって設立されたことで有名です。
今回はこのパタゴニア国立公園を縦走する４泊５日のハイキングに挑戦しました。アルゼンチンとの国境に近く、公園北東部にあるチリチコという町から車で2時間弱のJeinimeni Sectionがスタート地点です。途中、一部区間を車で移動し、ゴールは公園南西部（Tamango Section）にあるコクランという町です。
パタゴニア国立公園はまだまだマイナーなこともあり、ハイキング中、すれ違う人はほぼなく、大自然の中、素晴らしいハイキングを満喫できました。
トレイルは基本的に良く整備されており、マークもしっかりしていますが、決して過保護ではありません。１日目と２日目の前半には、数えきれないほどの川渡りが待ってます。
Casa PiedraとWestwindのCampgroundはとても広いスペースで、フル設備が提供されており、おすすめのキャンプ場です。
私たちが再度訪れたいと思う絶対おすすめのトレイルで、スケジュールに応じてトレイルはいくつかのセクションに分割することも可能です。
また、チリチコとコクランは、ハイキング前後にゆっくりとリラックスできるとても居心地の良い町でした。

Patagonia National Park is located in the Patagonia region of Chile. This national park is famous for being established by Douglas Tompkins, the founder of The North Face, and his wife Christine, the former CEO of Patagonia.
This time, we challenged ourselves to a 5-day/4-night hike traversing this Patagonia National Park. The starting point was the Jeinimeni Section, less than two hours by car from the town of Chile Chico, located in the northeastern part of the park near the border with Argentina. We drove part of the way and reached our goal in the town of Cochrane in the southwestern part of the park (Tamango Section).
Since the Patagonia National Park is still relatively unknown, there was almost no hiker passing each other during the hike, and we enjoyed a wonderful hike in the great Patagonian nature.
The trails are generally well maintained and marked, but not overprotected, and countless river crossings await us on day 1 and the first half of day 2.
The Campgrounds at Casa Piedra and Westwind are very spacious, offer full facilities, and are highly recommended.
We would definitely recommend this trail that we would like to visit again and the trail can be broken up into several sections depending on your schedule.
We also found Chile Chico and Cochrane to be very cozy towns where we could relax before and after our hike.
