🌵 Cortando nopales y preparando la cena en el rancho!!! Nuestra vida en Oaxaca!!!

It has been a little while since we had spent time on the ranch. Sergio and the boys went up before I did while I stayed home to take care of a few things around the house.Once I finished, I stopped at the store to take some fruit to Sergio and the boys. I also wanted to cut nopales for dinner because we have so many ready right now at the ranch.

I was originally planning to make an ensalada de nopales, but after cutting them we started talking and decided on something different. We ended up making grilled nopales, tasajo, onions, and cheese cooked on the comal, which is always so good.

Another thing we have been working on is planting trees around the ranch. Sergio has also learned how to make new trees from one of the trees we already have. It was such a good day. We have been so busy lately, so we really enjoyed just relaxing and being together on the ranch.

Había pasado un tiempo desde que habíamos pasado tiempo en el rancho. Sergio y los niños subieron antes que yo, mientras yo me quedé en casa para hacer algunas cosas. Cuando terminé, pasé a la tienda para llevarles fruta a Sergio y a los niños. También quería cortar nopales para la cena porque ahorita tenemos muchos listos en el rancho.

Originalmente tenía pensado hacer una ensalada de nopales, pero después de cortarlos empezamos a platicar y decidimos hacer algo diferente. Terminamos preparando nopales asados, tasajo, cebollas y queso hechos en el comal, que siempre quedan riquísimos.

Otra cosa en la que hemos estado trabajando es en sembrar árboles alrededor del rancho. Sergio también ha aprendido a sacar nuevos arbolitos de uno de los árboles que ya tenemos.
