The left and right side of the fork uses 7.5wt suspension fork oil. If you're sitting in the cockpit the right side has the coil spring with air adjust and the left side has the open bath cartridge. I moved my open bath cartridge to the right side of the fork to keep the oil away from the hot brakes, so to clarify my rebound knob is now on the right side. This is completely optional. The spring side needs oil mainly for lubrication, so getting the level close enough is good. I would look up how you can use the oil level to fine-tune how the fork actually works, since I'm a heavier Rider, I added more oil say 55mm from the lowest thread at the top of the stanchion, be careful if you add too much oil you can hydro lock the fork and blow seals.
For the cartridge side (open bath) side of the system, add oil until It's about 1" from the top of the cart. pull the cartridge up and down about 15-20 times. adding oil if necessary. You know all the air is bled when the travel feels the same from the bottom to top. Put everything back together and test your rebound if it works, you did everything correctly.
