NSCN-IM Machet Tarakli | Isak Swu's Son Lost Faith in the Organization & Exits -IM | But WHY?

A major split may be brewing within the NSCN-IM, the most prominent Naga insurgent group, as senior leader Ikato Swu announces his decision to ally with Myanmar-based Naga rebel factions to “carry forward the Naga struggle.”

This development could mark a serious shift in the dynamics of the Naga peace process, especially since the NSCN-IM has been observing a ceasefire since 1997 and is currently engaged in prolonged peace talks with the Indian government. With its leaders, including Thuingaleng Muivah, based at the designated Hebron camp near Dimapur, this splintering move raises questions about unity within the group and the direction of the Naga movement.
