'ശബരിമലയിലെ സ്വര്ണക്കൊള്ളയുടെ ശ്രദ്ധമാറ്റാനാണ് ഇപ്പോള് ശ്രമങ്ങള് നടക്കുന്നത്. യുഡിഎഫ് സര്ക്കാരിന്റെ കാലത്ത് ഒരു വൃത്തികേടും ശബരിമലയില് നടന്നിട്ടില്ല. ഏത് കാലത്തെ അന്വേഷണത്തെയും സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്യുന്നു. എന്നാല് ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ സാഹചര്യങ്ങളില് വെള്ളം ചേര്ക്കാന് ശ്രമിക്കുകയാണ്. സ്വര്ണക്കൊള്ളയില് പ്രതികളെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുകയാണ് സര്ക്കാര് ചെയ്യുന്നത്.' | Leader of the Opposition V. D. Satheesan said that the discussions about the Kerala Congress joining the UDF were a media creation. He clarified that none of them had stated that Kerala Congress (M) would join the UDF. Satheesan alleged that current efforts are aimed at diverting attention from the Sabarimala gold robbery case. He said that no wrongdoing took place at Sabarimala during the UDF government’s tenure and that they welcome an investigation into any period. However, he claimed that attempts are now being made to dilute the issue and that the government is protecting the accused in the gold robbery case.
