Ss Rotterdam, or ‘La Grande Dame’, is the former flagship of the Holland-America Line, and is considered Dutch heritage. In 2010, after endless restorations, it opened as a hotel, meeting & events center and museum. Later WestCord Hotels acquired the ship, reuniting it with that other Holland-America Line icon: Hotel New York.

The former cabins have become 254 guest rooms and suites, each unique in shape, décor and color. Today the ball rooms and dining halls are part of the meeting & events center. Main restaurant Lido - open for breakfast, lunch and dinner - also has an outside terrace on the aft deck, where guests can enjoy views of the ship and the Rotterdam skyline. In the Captain’s Lounge, the Ocean Wine Bar and fine dining restaurant the Club Room the splendour of 1950s cruising can still be felt.

Walking the decks and stairways of the ss Rotterdam is an experience in itself. However, you can explore more during a guided tour featuring the engine rooms and even the original captain’s hut.
