In today's episode, we embarked on a mouthwatering brunch tour featuring three iconic eateries in Jhansi: Dau ke Samose, Gupta Ji Ke Aalu Banda and Om Suresh Hotel.

Our adventure began at Dau ke Samose, where we couldn't resist their signature kadhi samosa. Jhansi's love affair with samosas was evident from the numerous samosa shops dotting the city. There are three shops by the same first name and it is so because these are being run by three brothers whose grandfather started the business. Each one has a good reputation when it comes to samosa and other fried snacks. At the first stop, we relished their kadhi samosas, a perfect blend of crispy samosa paired with tangy kadhi, accompanied by chutney and raita. We learned about the shop's rich history, passed down through generations, ensuring consistent quality and taste.

Continuing our journey, we visited the second shop, where we were treated to one more plate of kadhi samosas, complemented by besan sev and jalebi. At the final stop for samosas, we opted for a refreshing serving of curd, having already savored plenty of the city's favorite snack.

Next, we made our way to Gupta Ji Ke Aalu Banda cart at Pachkuiya, a bustling spot where locals flocked for plates of samosa kadhi and aalu banda. The sight and aroma of freshly fried snacks greeted us and we eagerly dug into a plate of aalu banda, topped with two flavorful chutneys – a red one and the banda. It was quite good and the symphony of flavors left us craving for more.

Our brunch tour concluded at Om Suresh Hotel, a haven for traditional, home-cooked meals that have stood the test of time for over 65 years. Here, we indulged in their legendary dal fry, accompanied by roti, kheer, and raita. Owner Kesav Ji shared insights into the establishment's heritage. Crafted by the expert hands, the dal fry truly lived up to the reputation.

Overall it was a great experience visiting these iconic stops.
