Cannock & Yeadon (plus a drum kit tour!!) | DRUM VLOG #8

Hello and welcome to the Vlog!

If you’re an old time follower of Drum With Alex, welcome back! And if you’re a new viewer, hi, it’s nice to meet you!

In this Vlog I travel to Cannock and Yeadon near Leeds for a double header of gigs with Calling Planet Earth.

En route to Cannock I stopped off at Burton Dassett Country Hills Park for stunning views of Warwickshire and beyond. Simply lovely!!

Cannock was a great gig. It was a sold out show which was awesome!!

I hope the drum cam footage text provides you with some insight into my mindset during the show.

Then it was a hotel and then on to Yeadon near Leeds on the Saturday. I used to study at University of Leeds so I took a trip down memory lane and visited the uni gym and students union before popping into Charcos for chicken and chips for lunch!!

It was soon time to head on to Yeadon Town Hall. Such a stunning old school theatre. They’ve done it up super nicely there and I loved the VIP champagne bar!! (Not that I had any; I try and stick to a policy of no drinking before a gig).

Yeadon was utterly fabulous. There were loads of people up and dancing at the front which made for a great atmosphere.

I hope you enjoy the tour of my drum kit. Thank you Alfie for the recommendation!! I’ve recently bought a new electric sample pad and retuned and re-positioned my drum kit/cymbals so I was excited to share that with you.

The next day was a long drive back home from the hotel in Wakefield. But at least the sun came out which made for a nice drive home. I also enjoyed listening to Desert Island Discs on BBC Radio 4 👍👍

This Vlog is slightly longer than usual. Is that OK with you? I might add in some more tuition type videos just to give the Vlogs some more variation and give you more of an insight into how I approach the gigs. If you’ve got any suggestions please let me know. I’m happy to be flexible and make them more appealing!!
