This is the NEW (and improved?) overview of Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) now with more content on Extended Range Electric Vehicles (EREVs). The goal of this video is to help explain the basics of how they work, what they are like to drive and how to charge them.
PHEVs and EREVs have BOTH a Plug (Charge Connector) to recharge and a Fuel Inlet to refill. They offer convenience of traditional combustion engines, with some of the fuel savings and environmental benefits of a full Battery EV (BEV).
I hope this encourages people to go test drive a PHEV or one of the new EREV models coming to market soon.
