2022 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT - Crayon - Walkaround (4K)

The Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT is a range-topping performance variant of the popular high-performance 4x4. Available only with the lower-roofed four-seat Cayenne Coupé body style, it features active suspension, steering and braking technology as standard, as well as a carbon fibre roof (which saves 22kg over the glass roof typically fitted to a Cayenne Coupé), a lightweight titanium exhaust (18kg lighter than the Turbo’s), carbon-ceramic brakes and 22-inch wheels. 

Under the bonnet is an upgraded turbocharged V8, producing 632bhp and 627lb ft of torque (gains of 89bhp and 36lb ft over the Cayenne Turbo), with four-wheel drive and a recalibrated eight-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shift. It has different crankshaft, pistons, conrods, chain drive, turbos, intercoolers and engine mounts than the regular Cayenne Turbo engine, as well as three additional radiators. The result is a 0-62mph sprint time of 3.1 seconds, and a top speed of 186mph. 

The Turbo GT rides up to 17mm lower than a regular Cayenne Turbo and 7mm lower than a GTS, on revised, height-adjustable, three-chamber air suspension. The suspension is 10% stiffer than the Turbo’s in normal mode, and 15% if in Sport Plus. Significant changes were made to its Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) adaptive dampers, its PTV torque-vectoring rear differential and its four-wheel steering system, while the car’s active anti-roll control system was comprehensively retuned.
