How to Select Drill Bit, Tap Cutter to Thread Stripped Bolt Hole. Part 3/8

In this video we continue trying to remove the crankshaft harmonic balancer pulley from the Nissan vg33e engine. Some Nissan Vg30e engines use the same procedure. With the factory OEM bolthole thread stripped, we attempted to try another size of thread taper tool with a slightly larger bolt but was not successful. A three-jaw puller tool was tried that broke the metal of the pulley, failing to remove the crankshaft pulley. After taking a final approach to removing the crankshaft pulley, a large thread taper and drill a bit with bolt was successful at removing the pulley. Upon identifying the factory OEM crankshaft pulley, no evidence was found to cause the knocking and rattling noise while the engine was running.
