Jan 15th 2025 and after 5 years Ngatira is ready for launching at Robertsons Boatyard in Warkworth.
After her first sailing in the recent Mahurangi Regatta she lined up for the Perpetual Guardian Classic Yacht Regatta 2025, and a great sight she makes.
From the Auckland Museum “Charles Bailey Jnr designed and built Ngatira in 1904 for John Frater. She was referred to as a 27-foot linear rater. Mr Frater raced Ngatira with the Devonport Yacht Club and the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron exclusively and was very successful.“
