Mission 8, similar to the earlier Mission 6, has you piloting a Slug in an auto scrolling section that gives you no reward whatsoever for completing the stage. No, you can't eject the Slug like in the 2D games. Yes, coming into contact with walls and the floor damages your Slug. No, I am not joking.
At least this stage has some pretty enjoyable music. I like how this stage's music transitions from slow, quiet, mysterious, and lonely, to energetic and serious. And, hey, I get to play as Tarma! ...not that you can tell, but hey!
"Corporal Roving" - Fio
That awkward moment you realise Tarma and Aikawa Rumi are of the same rank. I mean, she WAS a Sergeant in the 2D games, maybe she got demoted in this one?
