When we heard that you could snorkel with sea turtles in Akumal for free, we nearly thought it was too good to be true! We boarded a local colectivo in Playa del Carmen and reached Akumal in about 40 minutes, ready to go snorkelling with sea turtles. It would have been a great day if it weren’t so windy.
