Custom Fiberglass Subwoofer enclosure

This is the complete process from start to finish on how to create a custom subwoofer enclosure for your car. This was done for a 2020 Camry XSE, but the process will be the same for any vehicle.

Mixing cups
You don’t necessarily need these. I just used plastic drinking cups. Just make sure to test it before using to check if the resin will dissolve the plastic. I haven’t used the product below, but it is advertised specifically for mixing resin.

Quick disconnect – This is what I used, but I would not recommend. The wire isn’t 100% secure, and can be pulled out.

• Grinder – To cut final shape and to smooth out stray fibers
• Staple Gun – To secure felt
• Hot glue gun – To secure felt
• Jig saw – Cut out speaker mounts
• Drill and Drill bits – drill hole for speaker wire
• Utility Knife – to cut out a hole in the felt for the subwoofer

• Cardboard or plastic liner to protect your work area and trunk from dripping resin
