there are three sales involved primary, secondary and tertiary you do your primary income primary sales happens at your distributor level I know that there are multiple moving parts I mean distribution that can be super stockist from super stockist it goes to distributor from distributor it goes to other part your primary income your primary mode of contact everything comes from your distributor then you generate your secondary order from your retailer the distributor supplies it to the retailer from the retailer the tertiary sales happens whether it is through brand promotion promoters or merchandisers or the store itself selling but the tertiary happens when the tertiary happens automatically your secondary will happen automatically your primary will happen as well so we as an FMCG sales force always have the pressure of primary sales I believe everyone would agree on this point that will automatically happen through the end tertiary sales you have to focus on your tertiary sales you have to have contacts in the market every retailer should know you by name by face they should have your phone numbers in their mobile phones you should have their phone numbers on your mobile phones you should have an unofficial contact with them as well not just when you see them when you are going for a visit at their store try to maintain a relationship try to build a relationship even after they get off from work you can maybe go and have a cup of tea with them
