In Bully for Bugs (1953), directed by Chuck Jones and written by Michael Maltese, Bugs Bunny finds himself in a Spanish bullring after taking a wrong turn at Albuquerque. Intending to attend the Coachella Valley Carrot Festival, Bugs instead encounters Toro the Bull. When the matador flees, Bugs takes it upon himself to confront Toro, leading to a series of comedic and inventive gags. Utilizing his wit and a variety of props, including an anvil and a Rube Goldberg–style contraption, Bugs engages in a humorous battle of wits and slapstick with the bull.
