Day two and three of our intrepid adventure to the San Jacinto Peak, along with our second night in the wilderness and the hike back down the monster that is the Marion Mountain Trail. We'd heard she was tough, but man! Definitely rated HARD and it pushed us to our limits. We’re hoping to finish the six-peak challenge. People take Marion Mountain Trail to train for Mount Whitney.
The reward at the summit and the amazing camp at Little Round Valley made it worthwhile.
Coming down was perhaps a little easier than Day One going up, but guys it's a difficult climb!
Marion Mountain Trail begins at the Marion Mountain Campground in the San Jacinto Wilderness in Idyllwild, CA. The starting Elevation is 6,300'. Little Round Valley Camp is at 9,900' and the peak is 10,834'. You will need to boulder at the peak to get to the sign. As we said in the video the weekends are crazy busy and there were a great many people at the peak. We met some great people this weekend
