RWNYC weekend (7th and 8th July 2018)

A selection of photos and videos taken over the RWNYC weekend held in London on 7th and 8th July. It turned out to be very warm and humid, a mere 30 / 32 degrees, making for some uncomfortable ringing conditions but that didn't deter any spirits and the day was a great success with teams of young ringers from around the UK competing in this year's competition. Sussex Young Ringers was the overall winning team of this year's contest, winning the Whitechapel trophy.

Quarters on the Sunday were held at Kilburn, St Anne, Highgate and Christ Church, Hampstead. Post service ringing was held at Clerkenwell, a super 24cwt Gillett 8; not that easy but so well worth the effort. Grandsire Triples is featured outside the church, followed by 3 leads of Bristol Major in the ringing room and the lower from the base of the tower.

Hampstead has another gorgeous 8, not quite up to Clerkenwell or Jewry, but very close behind, if not on par with them! A very hot, slow but musical quarter of Bob Major was rung, even if we were all fried and worn out by the end of it! But all well worth the effort.
