The title of the best 1500m runner in the world is usually a simple one. The fastest runner and the one who win's the most races? That would be Jakob Ingebrigtsen, but when he didn't medal in the 1500m at the Olympics it makes it a little less obvious.
The big four (Jakob Ingebrigtsen, Cole Hocker, Josh Kerr and Yared Nuguse) would probably all have an argument as to why they think they're the best 1500m runner in the world, so in this video we give you the numbers to hopefully make that answer a little clearer. In short, Cole Hocker's name must be there because he's the 1500m Olympic champion, but statistically Jakob Ingebrigtsen has had the best 1500m season...
