മൂന്ന് അതിസമ്പന്നരെകൊണ്ട് കേരളത്തെ അതിദാരിദ്ര്യവിമുക്ത സംസ്ഥാനമായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചാണ് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ കേരളപിറവി ദിനം ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നത്. എന്നാല്‍ 1956ല്‍ രൂപീകൃതമായ കേരളത്തിന് ഇന്നോളം നേടാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞതെന്ത്, കഴിയാത്തതെന്ത് എന്ന പരിശോധന പൊതുവിലാരും നടത്താറില്ല. അത്തരമൊരു വിശകലനമാണ് സി പി ജോണ്‍ നടത്തുന്നത്. കേരളം നമ്പര്‍ വണ്‍, ലോകോത്തരം എന്നൊക്കെ വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന്റെ സാംഗത്യവും അദ്ദേഹം പരിശോധിക്കുന്നു.
