#RahimYarKhan is a city in #Punjab province of #Pakistan It is the 17th #LargestCity of Pakistan by #Population It is the #Capital of Rahim Yar Khan District and Rahim Yar Khan Tehsil. The administration of the #city is subdivided into nine Union Councils. In 1881, Nawab of #Bahawalpur gave this city its current name by naming it after his first-born son and #CrownPrince Rahim Yar Khan.

The city was originally named #Nowshera
which was changed to Rahim Yar Khan in 1809
after the name of #Nawab #Muhammad Sadiq Khan's son
Rahim Yar Khan was given the status of #district #headquarters in 1930
and thus during the #journey from Punjab to Sindh,
this district is the last district of #Punjabprovince
which shares borders with #Bahawalpur #Rajanpur districts in Punjab
and #Ghotki and #Kashmore in Sindh

13KM to #Iqbalabad at National Highway and then 12KM towards Rahim Yar Khan from there
