This is the most iconic statue of Eric Morecambe in the UK. This clip is a short interview with the sculptor, Graham Ibbeson, by heritage film maker Chris Abram and is taken from the double heritage dvd "Morecambe Bay Our Heritage Part 1 Fleetwood, Morecambe to Levens Hall". Included is unique film of HM the Queen unveiling the statue, which is the focal point of Morecambe's promenade. Anyone who visits Morecambe HAS to have their photograph taken next to the statue and standing in the same very distinctive "Eric" pose.

Morecambe Bay is the second largest bay in the UK and the largest in the North West of England. It is a bay surrounded by beauty and heritage and "Morecambe Bay Our Heritage Part 1" takes us from Fleetwood, through Morecambe to the North West end of the bay and Elizabethan Levens Hall and it's oldest topiary gardens in Britain.

This is just part of a two plus hours dvd about the heritage and beauty of Morecambe Bay in the North West of England where I live, just south of the stunning Lake District. It has taken me two years to research, script, film in HD, edit and narrate. I use lots of priceless historical footage from individual donors and the North West Film Archive at Manchester Metropolitan University. It features rare Victorian postcards and photography, plus it contains unique aerial footage shot by myself, some of which also appears in the Dave Weatherly film of him crossing the bay.
Plus, I was given a personal filmed tour around one of the finest Elizabethan houses in the North West, Levens Hall and its oldest topiary gardens in the UK, by the owners Hal and Susie Bagot.
