You`ll Never Guess The Old Name Of Skid Row

Skid Row is a band that most metal heads are familiar with but many don’t know what the band almost was called. One of their founding members Rachel Bolan just revealed, however, that Skid Row had considered going by something else entirely.

Skid Row bassist Rachel Bolan stopped by In the Trenches with Ryan Roxie podcast and was asked to clarify what Skid Row originally called themselves when they formed in 1986. Bolan explained,

Bolan and Sabo were driving to rehearsals when they passed an accident that had just been cleaned up. Bolan suggested The Skids to which Sabo replied "That's cool." He then added "I'm not sure about the 'the'." Eventually, Sabo suggested Skid Row to which Bolan replied "That sounds perfect." Both men were quiet for about four miles as they thought about it.
