The Black Magic Pocket is a deposit of ultra black smoky quartz crystals discovered in the Kenosha Mountain Range of Colorado. The granitic pegmatite that hosts the pocket formed within a pluton complex known as Pikes Peak batholith. Black Magic is the first of several notable pockets discovered during a former exploration project titled, "Prospecting Colorado | The Search for Virgin Ground” (YouTube).
