Circles in The Sand is walkable art on Face Rock Wayside Beach in Bandon, Oregon.
We tried to provide what it is like to actually walk the labyrinth and feel the experience of being there.
Denny Dyke created Circles in the Sand back in 2010 for his own walking meditations. The first Dreamfield Labyrinth meandered through seven spirals and returned near the entrance. Today the Dreamfields are larger, always with one path, no dead ends or wrong turns and returning home. Denny has a team of volunteers to assist with creating the Labyrinths that draw larger audiences from all over the world.
The Circles in The Sand public labyrinth walks are free to people and dogs of all ages. Each person doing the walk receives a Dream Stone to remember their experience. The Dream Field is about 200 yards wide and a half a mile in length. It takes about a half an hour to walk the labyrinth.
I did the walk on the morning of May 16th, 2025, with my wife and granddaughter. Some of her images and footage are included in the video.
Enjoy the walk!
