One of the stars of the late 80s and 90s, Rusty Wallace was one of the greatest drivers at the time when NASCAR entered its boom period. Wallace first showed his skill with Blue Max Racing, whom he raced for from 1986-1990. These 5 years would see him form into a championship contender, as he won 18 races and the 1989 NASCAR Cup Series Championship. His more well-known ride, however, came in 1991, as Roger Penske bought the team from Raymond Beadle to officially bring back his NASCAR operation. The Miller #2 became one of the most recognizable cars on the track, and so was Rusty's presence in victory lane. Over the next 14 years, Rusty Wallace went back to victory lane 37 times. His prowess was especially prevalent on short tracks, with Wallace earning 25 wins at the 4 short tracks he visited. While he was ultimately pressured into retirement in 2005, he was able to go out on a semi-high having made the Chase, and he currently sits at 11th on the all-time wins list.
