I spent some time with Thrifting and found these amazing wood boxes, and containers and turned them into high-end decor.
These wood boxes can then be used in the home to hide away smaller items that otherwise we look like clutter, These Thrifted boxes, ordinary, looking wood boxes now turned decor pieces, perfect for staging, and turning ordinary into an extraordinary looking piece of decor.
After finding these pieces, I wiped them down, sanded them smooth if need be takeoff the outer finish give it a new stain , then I embellish a couple of the boxes with leather strips, giving it a suitcase look. These are perfect for stacking on a consult table with some books and a lamp.. I did this to a wine box as well as a box that was made for cutlery. Then decorating the inside with pretty paper, I bought a book in the dollar store with vintage prints. Adding these to the inside of each box ads a very updated look to any wood container..
Putting on hand as well, small feet to a box will also embellish the look, and give it an updated look .
I had one box and I could not stain. It ended up being press board, so I added some embellishments with a piece of hardware, and gave it up of paint, this will always update find.
