Pen Farthing, a former British Royal Marine, who runs the Nowzad Dogs charity in Kabul is stuck in Afghanistan with his animals. After one failed attempt to reach the gates of Kabul airport with his animals, he has now managed to successfully enter the Kabul airport with his rescue animals. He now awaits transportation back home to the UK. Dominic Dyer, a wildlife protection campaigner spoke to the Times of India on the harrowing experience Pen Farthing and his crew had to go through when they made their first attempt to get to the airport, the day of the Kabul blasts. Amid the ongoing evacuations against the deadline given by the Taliban, the situation outside Kabul airport is very scary.
