In the vast forests of Kamchatka, summer is more than a season — it’s a classroom.
Far from the city, Daria’s grandchildren return to their ancestral land to learn the ways of the forest. They watch, listen, and imitate their uncle Ivan, whose every gesture — when he fishes, tracks, cuts wood, or lights a fire — carries the quiet wisdom of generations.

For the Evens, to live in the forest is not to conquer it, but to belong to it. Theirs is a world where humans, animals, and spirits share the same space and the same breath. The children learn by observing, by moving silently through the forest paths, by respecting what they take and what they leave behind.

Under Ivan’s watchful eye, they inherit more than skills — they absorb a way of seeing the world, where coexistence replaces domination, and where nature is both teacher and home.
