Kona was a stage i stuggled with back in the original version on the Gamecube... specifically one objective where i had to pop a Misty Flip over a gazebo. in this remake however Kona is a comp level, which completely made item hunting a breeze for me this time. im surprised i found all the things in the time it took me to earn a gold medal. i doubt the Zoo level will be forgiving when i get there to do that one. also i had an 80s filter on as well as some rainbow trail effect. these were optional and did nothing to get me an advantage, btw.
